We first opened our shop in the historic town of Maldon almost 30 years ago offering a diverse range of affordable, beautiful and interesting pieces.

Over the years we have enjoyed championing new, innovative talent in the world of jewellery design and, as such, have developed a wonderful, eclectic collection.

Our endeavours have led us to be proud of ourselves and our name and believe that Read & Simpson is a name in which you can trust and by which you can be assured that all diamonds set in the pieces we offer are non-conflict; that all precious metals carry a Hallmark or Touchmark and that we care greatly about the high quality and finish of all the pieces we offer.

We have an excellent repair and setting service; hand engraving and, as many of our beaded necklets are designed in-house, we are proud to offer a pearl & bead re-stringing and design service. We also undertake commissions for bespoke pieces. Old gold is accepted in part-exchange and we extend a 10% discount on the item purchased.
